Community Engagement is dedicated to stimulating positive social interaction in diverse communities through innovative artistic practices.  We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has grown to serve 1,100 households in three different states.   We bring people together to creatively explore their shared spaces.

Our flagship program, called Creatives-in-Residence, is a highly selective artist residency aimed at nurturing craft and communities by turning passion into social impact.  Our Creatives are artists of varying disciplines who spend one year or more embedded in a low-income multifamily community to develop collaborative projects ranging from gardening, oral histories, self-portraiture, glass mosaic, coloring, and more.  In the past year, we have initiated four new Creatives-in-Residence programs, three of which are in Santa Ana.  

As we continue to grow, we invite you to become a part of our collaborative movement among artists and communities by supporting our upcoming mixer.  The mixer will be in downtown Santa Ana on Thursday, October 13th 6:30-8:30pm.  Since this is our first fundraising event, our theme is New Growth.
