The Art Space OC, a joint venture between Community Engagement and Casa Bloom Studios, showcases and highlights one local artist a month through a pop-up gallery experience. All exhibitions will be held in Downtown Santa Ana at Casa Bloom Studios, a space for creators, business owners, and artists to work in a flexible and collaborative environment.
The exhibitions are presented by The Art Space OC and coincide with DTSA First Saturday ArtWalk, a free, all-ages, community-based arts showcase that takes place throughout Downtown Santa Ana on the first Saturday of each month.

Join us for “Survivors,” a unique exhibition showcasing the beautiful wildlife of the United States, brought to life through a special collaboration between artist Jonathan Martinez and General Pencil. Featured on these unique pencil sets, the stunning artwork aims to raise awareness for the diverse and precious wildlife found in our country, spark curiosity and appreciation for the wildlife that surrounds us and invite viewers to connect with nature in a new and creative way.

DRAWING WORKSHOPS
Jonathan Martinez will offer two exclusive drawing workshops on Sunday, October 6 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at Casa Bloom Studios. In this beginner's drawing course, attendees will learn how to draw a majestic mountain lion, in partnership with the National Wildlife Foundation. These free interactive sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn new skills and create their own wildlife-inspired artwork. “Academically Inappropriate” features the series “This Made Me Think Of You,” which came from an accidental fit of laughter that spread through a group of education professionals navigating the stress and burnout of the 2020-2021 academic year. In this bleak and isolating time, artist and art educator Stephanie Butler and her co-workers shared small tokens of connection via their mailboxes, with often hilarious results. The silly, irreverent, impish morsels of humanity were beautiful and vibrant in a setting that had then been made devoid of such niceties.
